Scroll into it

Good for you if

You have plenty of AI ideas, but no reliable way to choose between them.

Not the right fit if

The decision is already made. Then you are ready to build.

Case 01 / 01 · Healthcare & Life Sciences

01 · Who they are

A fast-growing health and insurance technology company.

How a long list of ideas becomes a plan you can act on.

  1. 01Find the real problems
  2. 02Rank every idea honestly
  3. 03Say where AI is the wrong tool
  4. 04Make the business case
  5. 05Put the roadmap in order
  6. 06Hand over a plan you can build from

Find the real problems

Audit your current operations and data to find where a real, well-defined problem exists — not where AI sounds impressive

Rank every idea honestly

Rank candidate opportunities against cost, technical risk, data readiness, and organizational readiness to actually operate the result

Say where AI is the wrong tool

Identify where AI is the wrong tool entirely, and say so, even when a simpler fix or no change is the honest answer

Make the business case

Build the business case for the recommended opportunities in terms your finance and leadership teams can evaluate directly

Put the roadmap in order

Sequence the roadmap so early work builds the data and infrastructure the later work depends on, instead of duplicating effort

Hand over a plan you can build from

Hand off a plan specific enough that Intelligent Systems Engineering, or your own team, can start building from it directly

The real problems in your business, found before anyone talks about technology.

Ranked roadmap

Every idea ranked honestly and costed, in the order worth doing them.

Business case

The numbers you need to put it in front of a board, written down.

Where AI is the wrong tool

A straight answer about which ideas should not be built at all.

AI Transformation Strategy is the work of deciding, specifically, where AI belongs in your operation — and just as usefully, where it doesn't. Most companies we talk to don't have a shortage of ideas for where AI could help. They have a shortage of a defensible way to rank those ideas against each other, and a plan for the ones that don't make the cut.

This engagement produces a decision, not a deck of possibilities. We look at your actual operations, your data readiness, and your team's capacity to run what gets built, and come back with a small number of ranked opportunities — each with a real estimate of cost, risk, and what success would look like — rather than a long list of everything AI could theoretically do. The output is short on purpose; a strategy document you can act on this quarter is worth more than one that covers every possibility.

A typical output looks like three or four opportunities, each roughly a page: what it would cost, what data it needs that you don't currently have, what could realistically go wrong, and a rough timeline — set against two or three ideas we recommend against, and why, so the reasoning is visible rather than assumed.

What you get

A ranked set of AI opportunities specific to your operation, each with a cost and risk estimate, a written case for why AI is or isn't the right tool for each one, and a sequenced roadmap your team can execute — with or without us building it. Every recommendation is written to be defensible in a board meeting, not just persuasive in a workshop.

When this isn’t the right fit

This engagement isn't for a decision that's already made — if you know what you're building, skip straight to Intelligent Systems Engineering, since strategy work on a settled question just adds time. And it only pays off with real intent to act on what comes back: a ranked roadmap that sits in a drawer wastes the budget spent producing it. We'd rather turn an engagement down than hand over a document nobody was ever going to use.

Questions people ask before buying

01 / 06

Does it cost anything to ask?

No. You describe one problem, plainly, in a few sentences, and we tell you if it is worth building. That answer is free. No discovery invoice, no proposal deck.

02 / 06

What if AI is the wrong tool?

We tell you. A simpler rule, or no change at all, is sometimes the honest recommendation, and we would rather say so than build something that should not exist.

03 / 06

How will we know it works?

Where an engagement carries a measurable target, that target is written into the contract with a defined test, not implied by a case study.

04 / 06

Who can see our data?

Client data is processed only for the engagement it was provided for, and only by the people working on it. Access is granted per project and removed when the engagement ends.

05 / 06

Do we own what you build?

Documentation and runbooks are written for the engineers who take it over. We would rather leave cleanly than become a dependency you cannot remove.

06 / 06

Can you guarantee the result?

No, and you should treat any firm that does with suspicion. The figures on this site are real, but each one came from one specific client. What we can do is write your target down and test against it.
